← Run to the Sea Bournemouth

What an amazing and well organised ultra; a mix of land and sea for beauty. The route is well signed with no chances of getting lost. The first quarter is on a flat old railways trail, middle quarter through a mix of field trails and last element of the race along the seafront from Poole to the finish line.

Communication up to the start was excellent with plenty of emails explaining everything, and the race organisers even sent out your registration for the start to mitigate covid social distancing and ease of start processes. The checkpoint 4 in total were well stocked and were self help due to covid. They were approx every 9km so well spaced out on the course.

This is a fast course and excellent for achieving a PB at the 50km distance. If you are after hills this is not the course for you.

The medal at the end was good quality and fairly large with soup avaiable in the cafe for runners.

For its inaugural event this was expertly put together and is recommended for anybody, beginners or more experienced looking for a new PB.

Great event - well done.
