This was my first time doing Derby Triathlon, and what a treat! the swim was well thought through following Covid-19 guidelines. Unfortunately, the bike was the let-down to this exilledating experience. The first roundabout on the bike course was not clear with arrows pointing at the first exit and the second exit. I thought i knew where i was going but when you’re in race mode all your prior planning slips away. My advice is to get more alert marshall's that can assertively tell racers the correct direction. Other than that the bike was lovely. The run was very self explanatory with encouraging marshall's throughout. Although the environment at the finish wasn't the same as usual years PMA still managed to make me feel encouraged when finishing. I received a lovely t-shirt and would recommend to anyone interested in doing a triathlon - pro or beginner!
