Lovely pre-Christmas event that I use to meet up with running friends and then have a night out in Leeds after.
The race is all along the canal path. As ever with IGUN events the field is relatively small and the organisers are very welcoming and always give a clear briefing, marshals are friendly, lots of snacks at the aid station and they are moving towards cupless events which is great. Although it is along the canal path the route is not entirely flat but the condition of the path has improved since last year and so nowhere near as muddy, road shoes are fine for this.
Nice Christmas themed medal and cakes and snacks galore at the finish.
