The Pros:
- Super friendly organisers / volunteers.
- Plenty of communication right up to race day, even in very uncertain times (Covid-19)
- Considerations at aid stations made in light of Covid-19 to help keep everyone safe e.g. no open sweets.
- No need to do anything on race morning as all needed, race number etc sent in post before event.
- Plently of toilets.
- Nice medal & long sleeved high vis running top.
Could Improve:
Information re parking. There are PLENTY of residential streets near by, however, until I got there was unaware how much. Would be good to highlight this in advance to reassure runners.
Bag drop was a bit uncertain. Left in school hall in make shift rows. Maybe surname or numbered rows would make clearer, though it is a small event so no trouble locating bag afterwards at all.
Points to note:
Not many spectators if you rely on crowds. Even though it was a wet day (and Covid-19) the majority of the route is along country roads.
Roads remain open and cars were passing, some at speed.
