Long hold at the start (at least 45 minutes) and we could have done with some music to entertain/distract us from the cold. One positive was that there were a good number of loos in and outside the start pen. The course isn't that scenic but it is mostly flat and you get to go over Tower Bridge, which is always a nice moment. They were giving out small bottles of water in several places on the course and whilst we were encouraged to drain and dispose of the bottles in the bins provided, it was a horrific amount of plastic. I really liked the unusual medal and the recovery food (fruit and lentil crisps). The tee-shirt is a great design but there were no female fit options and if races can't offer this then personally I'd rather they drop the tee-shirt and reduce the entry price. There was a massive queue to get to the baggage collection area, across a road. This needs revising because it meant runners were stood in the cold for ages. There was, however, a lovely volunteer apologising at regular intervals so I didn't hear anyone getting too grumpy. The race itself is well-organised, with good marshalling. It would benefit from a few tweaks to the course and the organisation at the end.
