Just to add to Kevin's review, I both agree and disagree with him.

The course is fairly hilly, certainly undulating. However, I say this as someone from Suffolk so pretty much anything is hilly to me...

I prefer getting a finisher's t-shirt to a medal as do a lot of people I know. Medals just sit on a hook in my office and at least with the t-shirt I'll use it. I thought being long-sleved was a nice touch. Most race t-shirts are short, so it's good to have something for the more chilly runs.

I suspect the reason there was no medal was the same reason there were (biodegradable, paper) cups at the water stations - an attempt to reduce the environmental impact of the event. Like most, I hate drinking from cups when running, but until there's an affordable environmentally friendly alternative I'm not that fussed. The pre-race email did say they'd be using cups so if it bothers someone too much, you could've brought your own.

There was good support from the marshalls, and an event like this on a cold, wet Sunday in Feb is never going to bring out thousands of locals. Also as a 20 miler, the 10 milers I passed were really encouraging - a good community supportive feel.

Overall, great event and well run. If it fits in with my training next year, I'll be back.
