← Great North West Half Marathon
One of the only races still going with Storm Dennis raging along the seafront!!
Definitely a chilly, blustery run but thankfully no rain.
Number collection on the day which is easy enough before starting off along the prom, simple route consisting of 4 out and back loops in different directions meaning with the storm you had two sections of tail wind and two of head wind. Fairly fast and flat, subject to weather, id say a great course for PB’s.
One thing I would say, there are multiple public toilets along the route which a paramedic said should have been open however were not and cost 30p to use. It would be helpful for these to be available as only portaloos are at the start/finish line.
Plenty of Pay&display and on street parking available close to the start/finish area and received a tech top, medal, water and chocolate.
Race I would do again just hopefully no storm next time!
