The whole Rock n Roll weekend is very well organised, with regular newsletters providing information about training, suggestions of local events and places to stay.
After taking part in the 5K the day before, I was looking forward to seeing more of Liverpool in the half marathon. The weather was very wet at the start, but the marshalls were doing their best to lift our spirits while we waited for the starting pens to move forward.
The race route takes in many of the iconic areas of the city; less welcome was the brutal headwind in the latter stages of the race, but I had been warned about this prior!
As promised, there were many bands and music stations throughout the race, and a fantastic concert to enjoy after the race at the HQ.
I'd like to go back one day and do the full marathon, to find out which route that takes and complete my tour of the city.
