As a very local race, I was keen to take part after having been away for the previous year's event. The race organisers gave plenty of notice of when entries would be open and the registration process was smooth. Plenty of pre-race information was provided.
Parking for the event is within the town centre, so be prepared to pay or walk a short distance from residential areas a bit further out.
The day itself was perfect for racing, clear and a little chilly. The course is two 5K laps of the main town so you know what's coming for the second lap; the course undulates a little, particularly on the way back to the start / finish point.
I ran my 10k PB on this course, despite intending to take it easy(!), so there's definite potential if you want to go for it yourself.
