← The Great Sprout Scuttle

A great pre Christmas run with mist runners in done sort of fancy dress. The course is on trail and through woods and it hilly in places. If you don't like mud this event is not for you! Very wet and muddy for the second year running.

Marshals were supportive and encouraging and the very cheap refreshments at race HQ were welcome (£1.50 for bacon butty, pasty or hot dog, 50p for hot drinks - Yorkshire prices!).

Great medal and t shirt (which was purchased separately) and cake at the finish.

The only negative this year was dogs being allowed. Whilst the proper carnicross runners were no problem there were several runners with no control over their dogs and I was nearly tripped twice by an idiot who had no control over her dog and thought it was funny when the lead was caught round people.
