← French Riviera Marathon Nice Cannes
The Nice to Cannes marathon along the French Riviera is a unique race, with great views and a chance to see the beautiful villages and coastline of southern France.
The weather this year was particularly horrendous, with major thunder/lightening storms and torrential rain. Many runners weren’t sure if the race would go ahead or not (could have done with better communication of this), but to the organisers credit they held off, delayed the start by 30-40mins and managed to get the event underway.
The race is virtually all flat, great place for a PB (I and others managed one). The aid stations are frequent and offer water, energy drinks, coke, bananas...really great and the marshalls manning the stations were on the ball.
The medal and T-shirt are unique and good quality.
Would definitely recommend this race to anyone.
