Second time running but didnt seem to enjoy it as much as last year, being local I signed up straight away last year as I really enjoyed it, the course is flat just a couple of small inclines, support from Marshall's and spectators was outstanding as always, plenty of high 5's, loads of jelly babies. 

Now the things I would like the organisers to look at, the start was slightly confusing (at least for me anyway) I couldn't see my starting pen, I could see all the rest but I had to ask a Marshall, plus I wish they could speed up the time in between the waves leaving, in the Manchester rain and cold, the wait didnt help. Part of the course was slippy because someone was giving out orange segments with the skins thrown on the ground (not sure what the organisers could so with this one though) and finally after medal collection, a bottle of water would be appreciated, instead you have to wait until you get a soreen bar, go past the free alcohol free beer if you don't want it, and then near bag collection the water is there. These are just some minor niggles, but one factor I was disappointed with was the lack of t shirt at the finish, it was advertised on sign up as receiving one then they changed it, but no part refund offered, there are runs out there which provide one in a better goody bag for similar or cheaper price. They stated something about wastage but I feel this is just an excuse.
