A good event, but some basics need tweaking. I am familair with most of the route having done the marathon here before, and the crowd were as good as always. All marshals were friendly, and the aid stations fine and ideally spaced. My only issue is the post-race process. Before you are given water you have to walk back to the baggage area, and get your medal, some Soreen and an alcohol free beer on the way. Myself, and others around me who also needed water felt that water should be available as soon as possible once you have completed. 

A changing tent would also be welcome, as after a race the last thing you want to do is wash in a sink in the cricket ground toilets and get changed in a portaloo. If they get these small bits right, the experiecne will be great. Would I do it again? Probably not. It falls on the same weekend as the oxford half, which from experience is much better in terms of organisation.
