← Bangor 10k & Half Marathon

I'm absolutely buzzing from this race! It started so relaxed in the town centre of Bangor. Race started on time, a bit congested for the first mile but then it began to stretch out.

First landmark to run along was St Georges Pier out across the Menai Straits. boy was that exhilirating and a bit blustery but it put a smile on everyones faces.

On to the harbour next and then on to an old railway line that's now a walk and cycle path. This had it all, tall trees, babbling streams, wooden bridge crossings and amazing viaducts and bridges to run under.

The half marathon runners branched off and left the 10k runners to continue to a turn around point before heading back on oursleves.

Up on to the main road and into the town centre for a great response from the crowds.

Not a fast time, but this rates as my best race ever to date! Such a great route, great marshalling, very nice medal and good weather too! Definately doing this again.
