This is a super event. Cheap entry and cracking value for money.  It's a simpIe concept, as many 5km laps of the Manvers lake as you can in 12 hours.  Registration was in the boat house, the same place where you get food, drink and tick off your tally after each lap you complete. Kudos to anyone that made it to 6am this year. I fully intended to, but finished after 5 laps this year as the weather was horrid. Large parts of the course had water across them and this meant my feet were thoroughly soaked ten minutes into the event!  Not going to criticise the organisers for that though as it's obviously out of their control! The volunteers were fabulous and very cheery, even in the horrid conditions. I would thoroughly recommend this event and at 15 quid to enter, including a medal and certificate, it's definitely worth giving it a go!
