← RunThrough Aintree 5k, 10k & Half Marathon - July

Majority of the race is in the actual grounds of the course, it’s a very flat course so great if your looking to try for a PB which I did. One lap of the course is 5k, so for the 10k, it was two laps and, my race, the half was 4 laps.

Three distances to choose from, all start at different times, which works great.

Half marathoners first, 5k runners and 10k runners 10 minutes after them. This works well, from a half marathoners point of view as your coming to the end of the race and flagging a bit you have a whole group of runners around you still rather than empty space between you and the next halfer!

Water station was at the 5k point and there were lots of marshalls around the course cheering you on, the course is well marked out.

Any supporters were able to gather in the stands, and there was lots of cheering and appreciation as you passed each 5k.

Very accessible venue with lots of parking right next to the venue which is free too!

I changed my distance a month or so before the race and it was very easy to do through customer service.

I really enjoyed this race, was a great morning running round the race course!
