← Maidenhead Easter 10

This race starts in a business centre, and then out onto the road in the form of a lap, which was a little boring but not too bad. Bib collection was easy. Portaloos were located near the start of the races but with quite a queue due to the sheer number of runners.

There was a delay to the start of the races, I am not sure what was the exact reason. In the initially up and down loops at the beginning, there was plenty of support from both spectators and marshals. Even Theresa May was marshalling!  Once the laps of the roads and business centre were complete, the race headed out onto country lanes. Here there wasn’t any support, but that was okay. Eventually, you reached the finish in the business centre where you could grab one bottle of water and a chocolate bar.

The medal was big and chunky, one of the best I have in my collection.  The race is pretty much flat, and the initial laps are not too bad. The run felt like it went pretty quick all in all.  Getting out of the venue by car was a bit slow, you had to sit hoping someone would let you out.

I would enter the race again as 10 miles is a nice distance, and it was fast and flat.
