Swansea Half Marathon 

running my 4th Swansea half Marathon was an absolute pleasure to do. 

To sign up was easy I love the fact that parking down Oystermouth Rd was FREE there was other areas that was also free. 

The start area was well sign posted and pens were easy to find. The Welsh National Anthem being blasted out at the start always brings goosebumps. The race started promptly at 10am crowds were in full voice to set you off and on the whole the crowds were there. There is areas of no crowd support but to be honest I enjoy that at times.

Marshall's were in plentiful supply and the course was well organised. Water stations at every 3 miles was much needed as it was so humid. Worth noting that I saw at least 6 people collapsed receiving treatment due to the conditions and ofcourse my thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the runner that died just before the finish line. RIP 

The Pacers were represented by our very own #visorclub members and it was great to see so many members supporting this amazing race.

The finish was fast and easy to navigate to collect shirt snacks and medal no goody bag so had to carry it all. 

my verdict 

if you want a flat actually flat run that takes in the breathtakingly views of the Welsh seaside this is a must race for you. It's great value for money and easy to see why this race has won so many awards over the past few years. Will I be back? You can count on it
