I took part in the Full Tour of Tameside which, if you don't know, is 4 races in 4 consecutive days. You can enter each of the 4 races individually but I think you would lose some of the uniqueness of the event - as well as rankings and results for each race, there's an overall leader board for the Full Tour.

This review focuses on the individual race.

The final race is the Dr Ron Hyde 7 mile road race. It's the only road race of the whole tour and also the most popular of the events with lots of people coming in to do just this race. Starting and finishing outside of the Town Hall in Hyde the course is a single loop.

THe route starts with a 2 mile gradual climb before undulating for the rest of the course. Not a problem if it's your only race that weekend, but harder work if you're doing the full Tour.

Partially closed roads with the main roads being shut to traffic but the housing estates had a few vehicles moving around. Not that those wearing ear-covering headphones would have heard the mini-moto scooter driving up behind them.......

Final stretch is back down Market Street and is a fast downhill. Plenty of spectators. Medals after the finish plus t-shirts & a tankard for Full Tour finishers.

A nice event to finish the Tour.
