This is a great event. Well organised and not small but keeping the feel of a low key, friendly race.
Good value for money with a good medal but no t-shirt (not a problem really as I can barely move for running kit as it is!). The course is pancake flat and takes you through a couple a handful of leafy residential roads, parkland and the prom. The route has changed since I last did this race a few years back and is now much nicer. Less out and back and more to enjoy as you go round. Great support, good marshalling and somehow they always seem to get good weather! Felt a bit sorry for the pacers (see photo) but I guess it all keeps the costs down. I’ll definitely be back!
