The first race of the Rock and Roll Weekend and it's always an enjoyable run.
Bib collection is from the expo on the Friday or Saturday morning and is an easy process, you can have them posted out for a fee.
The race starts outside the arena and winds through the Albert Dock, Liver Building and back around the expo centre before finishing inside the centre itself.
It's a great way to warm up for the races on Sunday and enjoy the atmosphere.
It's not great for spectators though unless they stand in one spot or just wait at the finish, you can't cross areas where runners cut through the estate so you can find it difficult to spectate at multiple spots.
Overall a nice little run to get you in the spirit for the longer races on Sunday. Completing this and one of Sunday's runs also bags you an extra medal.
