Derry “The Walled City” Marathon was fantastic!
I was surprised just how much spectator support there was, it was very nice. The people with hosepipes were especially welcomed (it was a hot day)!
You will get to see all the sights of Londonderry, both sides of the River Foyle, including crossing the peace bridge.
The community spirit amongst the runners was also very high.
The organisation was great, truly great. They had organised parking in the town centre, with a runners bus to the start line. It worked perfectly.
Finally the medal is a whopper!! Biggest I’ve got so far, and actually very nice with a picture of the city, river and bridge.
Very highly recommend this marathon to anyone!
