Hull Marathon 2018.
Good registration and parking near to the start line was helpful. The start and finish were both well organised.
Unfortunately, this is my least enjoyable marathon so far and here’s the main reasons:
i) - The route takes you through the working docks and around housing estates. Not especially motivational.
ii) - The locals were hostile! People in cars shouting at runners and Marshall’s arguing with motorists to let runners pass. Again not especially fun on race day.
The aid stations and Marshall’s were nice and helpful though.
Overall, unless you’re local and you want to increase you marathon number, I wouldn’t recommend this to friends 😔
