What to say... I loved it. Every single minute. 

I was asked by SBR to return to the Thoresby Estate to pace on the Half Marathon at The Longhorn. The route is the reverse of the Thoresby10 which is later in the year. It is beautiful. Forest areas, scenic woodland, open fields and the stately home garden. Definitely worth the travel. 

Events started in waves and although there were 5 or 6 different races on it never felt over crowded. Canicross & Nordic Walker’s and runners all doing there thing in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. 

The half marathon was two laps although you’d never know it apart from going through the race village as the scenery takes your mind somewhere else. Marshals were amazing especially JODE with her Pom Poms. The medal like all SBR events is amazing and will please any bling chaser. 

I loved how environmentally friendly the event was trying to be with limited plastic waste. Great to see.
