I absolutely loved this event - but there were a couple of bits that need mentioning. 

You have to pick up your race pack in the days before the race, this is on the beach just down from the pier – but be warned as this is a bit of a walk from town/the pier, so make sure you haven’t done too much walking before this. I went down mid afternoon on Saturday, there was a queue but I was in and out in 10 minutes, you can then choose your T Shirt size which was a nice touch.

The next issue to mention was bag drop – I got to bag drop 15/20 minutes before it closed and was still there 25 minutes later! In the end it was just a free for all chucking bags in, not ideal, so leave plenty of time for this.

Start pens were really good and moved through to the start quickly. This was a truly beautiful course with some fab views of the sea. There are a couple of hills during the race but really nothing to worry about. So many water stations on the course and all well manned. Finish area really good, got my bag back in seconds, could pick up goodies on the way through as well.

I loved this race and I cant wait to come back one day and run it again
