Many friends from my running club rated this race series highly for it’s PB potential being a fast & flat course. I raced the first race in the 2019 Summer series last week and unfortunately, due to roadworks, the course had to be changed. There were a few small undulations however a lot of runners were saying it was no where near as flat as last year. I still enjoyed it and still achieved a PB so couldn’t have been that bad! The first position was achieved in 14:51! Registration was straight forward on the evening with a clear race briefing detailing the change in course. There were marshals throughout so there was no way of getting lost. There was free race photography as well as cake available to buy afterwards and you also receive a race memento if you run 5 out of the 6 events over the Summer series. I found the route a good one and enjoyed running through country lanes, I would like to return and see if I can improve on my time.
