Last year the race was cancelled due to heavy snow fall so this was James Cracknell's first 'crack' at organising the North Somerset half. Well organised and well marshalled, the race headed out southwards to picturesque Uphill Castle and then coming back to the seafront, passing the pier and making up the distance along the Kewstoke road before finishing on the pier. The Kewstoke section was quite boring and unnecessary as these 3 or 4 mile could have been incorporated elsewhere. The finish was anticlimatical because the crowds were cheering along the promenade. Not bad though.
