Winchester 10k Pre race briefing excellent - mostly on Facebook. An early start due to the route starting on closed roads in the the city centre. Free parking on Sundays in Winchester was handy. Great route out of the city centre and through the surrounding villages, with a few hills. Despite it being ‘closed roads’ a few cars managed to sneak out onto the route, some of which weren’t very considerate. There was a bit of congestion after the finish line, but the medal and t-shirt are very nice and were worth waiting for. Bag drop at the start was easy, but I struggled to find where it was at the end - the info I downloaded said it would be delivered to a clubhouse, but it was in the sports hall at the leisure centre. It was good to have use of the changing facilities at the leisure centre and free sports massages were on offer.
