As well organised as you would expect a large marathon to go. Race pack pick up at the race village was a bit different from your standard expo, being outdoors on the beach front. The park and ride on the day worked absolutely fine for me as I arrived quite early, got straight on the nearest bus and we left for the event straight away. I heard others saying that people had struggled to get there on time later on, so I'd definitely recommend giving yourself plenty of time. There's a good atmosphere at the start, and the countdown with everyone in their pens was exciting. The route is a mixed bag: some looping around the city centre, a bit of 'up and down' in the first half, then a mostly flat second half which has a thoroughly unspiring section around a power station and a long finish along the sea front (which would have been lovely if it hadn't been hammering with rain when I was at that section!) I'd do it again one day, but not every year.
