This was my first "half" and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering the jump up from 10k or 15k /10mile events. It is pretty flat and the sections next to the river are outstanding. The road sections were very busy for me but the pace was close to mine so no time was lost and in fact it probably helped me slow down a little. The markers were easy to see and the water stations were well manned and plenty of them. Great support from locals through the residential areas with lots of kids high 5 fiveing which was lovely. The toilet queues were long but similar to many other events and did not bother me. The T shirt , goody bag and medal were some of the best I have received and in all it was an amazing day. Just need to train harder for the next one.
