This event is highly recommended. Superb atmosphere, lovely people, well organised. It's not exactly picturesque going through Warrington but it's not the worst place in the world. The cost is a little high, but in recent years the cost of any race is on the high side - but it's an event I would definitely recommend for anyone considering a half. Quite a flat and fast route, very enjoyable, crowds that randomly shout your name - no complaints.
