Easily my favorite race of all time. The logistics for Cebu are excellent. Everything is centered around the Shangri La Hotel, and since this is top 5 star hotel it is all pristine. Lots of volunteers and support staff to help you get prepared and ready for race day. The expo is also pretty good and often has good deals and discounts. The swim is simply stunning, crystal clear turquoise waters over coral reefs. So good that I found myself looking around too much and forgot I was racing! The bike course scenery is poor, and the quality of the roads are not good at all. Lots of potholes, dirt roads and wandering stray dogs. However the crowds make up for it as there is not a single stretch that doesn't have local support. The kids will go wild if you throw them a water bottle and it is rather entertaining. The run is similar in terms of local support. There is one small area which is out in the sun and has few supporters, but the main stretch has supporters shoulder to shoulder shouting and cheering the competition on. A must do race in my opinion.
