Signed up for this event just 2 weeks before, and was told via the confirmation email I'd have to collect my race number on the day from Race HQ as I'd missed the postage date of numbers. No problem with that at all, but to my surprise, the number arrived in the post in the week leading up to the race. I was grateful for that. Race day was enjoyable. A good/welcoming atmosphere around the sports club where the race started, despite the low temperatures. Race was on closed roads through the Cheshire countryside. Lovely views throughout. Marshalls and support at each turning and road junctions giving plenty of encouragement. The course had it's up and downhill sections, as you'd expect on any country lane, but they were manageable. A very unique finishers coin instead of a medal, which makes a nice change and something different to display with the collection. I didn't opt to pay the extra charge for the t-shirt. Overall, I enjoyed what was a well delivered event. It made a good start to the year & I will be looking at returning for 2020.
