← Portobello Promathon

The Promathon is an East Edinburgh New Year's tradition - a run along Portobello Prom on New Year's Day. The run starts at about 10:30, giving time for the New Year's Day parkrun at Portobello. Many people opt to do the double of both the parkrun and Promathon. The race starts at the Tumbles soft play centre, where there is parking and space to drop bags. It then follows a fairly flat four mile route out to the end of the Portobello Prom and then back. As a small local race, there is no medal, t shirt or water stops although there is a juice and chocolate bar at the end! Local support is good and the admissions money goes to charity raising a good amount for local causes! Sign up is online via entry central. If you're in Edinburgh for New Year, why not give it a go?
