← The Sir Titus Trot

Sir Titus Trot winter took place at side of canal in Saltaire. Race registration quick and easy, and then it was a short to the start line. Volume of runners meant start of each race were staggered, to prevent congestion. Race had distances to suit all abilities from 5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon & ultra - I entered the marathon. Course was run entirely on the canal paths. Paths were mostly ok but terrain did get a bit awkward once you went beyond Keighley. Route was mostly flat although you have to run up a few locks including the daunting 'Five Rise Locks' at Bingley. Finishers were given a superb medal, sweets, chocolate and beer. There were also trophies for first three male & female finishers in each race. IGUN for renowned for finish line cake. Today was no exception. In summary - Another cracking day with IGUN running. Variation of distances make this race perfect for all. I saw some amazing efforts from so many runners, across all distances. I'd like to thank marshals & all the IGUN team for a great day.
