Firstly, a huge credit to Foxy and Enigma Running: the beauty of these independent events is the ease to talk to the organiser directly. In particular with my challenge this year, there have been many last-minute bookings that have been accommodated by Foxy, full credit to Enigma. Secondly, the amazing people who run theses events, many have become familiar faces, but it’s a small crowd made of fantastic people, who always encourage each other on the route. So, to this Enigma event specifically: based at Willen Lake, Car Parking was £4. The route was 9 laps, and the route was well-marked so you didn’t fall off course! A scenic enough route, a cafe with toilets was available on each lap, alongside the supportive Enigma team with aid station counting you in on the laps. Bottled water and biscuits were available, and you could leave your own food and drinks if you wanted to. Willen Lake of all my Enigmas has a couple of inclines to deal with, but nothing too challenging. Being the Deja Vu, your medal was a choice of the greatest hits of the year, I was delighted with my medal!! I love Enigma events for their ease to get to, the direct communication, and the known quantity of the lapped routes.
