· 2018 Half Marathon ·

This is one of the most scenic runs I have done. Registration online was simple enough with your number being posted out to you. Car parking on the day was an issue, I had to jump out of the car with my daughter, leaving my wife to park, as I was running the 1 mile run run with her before the half marathon. The run starts near Conwy Castle and heads to Llandudno, past the pier then onto the Great Orme. This is where it got more challenging, also I was surprised that the road wasn't closed, we had to keep an eye for cars behind us. As mentioned at the top, the views are fantastic and there was a water station at the top with jelly babies also being handed out. Then it was down the Great Orme and back towards Conwy Castle for the finish line, my race was slightly ruined by continual cramp for the second half of the run, but that doesn't take away how good this run is. Apart from the cars on the Orme, the only slight criticism is that the water bottles were screw caps, I would have preferred sports tops. To end on another positive, the 1 mike run run was good value, it was £5, the crowd cheering was fantastic, and the sports goody bag contained a water bottle, medal and t shirt.
