Hilly! The first 5 miles are relentlessly hilly, a few miles in I was getting very bored of the incline thinking this must end soon...then I saw a big signpost saying 'Will you be king of the hill as the hill starts here!' WTF! I swore lots! Don't attempt this unless you have trained to run hills as I ended with a very bad knee injury as a result. The plus side is when you get up the hills there is lovely views of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Then its 'undulating' for another mile... The last 4 miles are then very much downhill, so possible to claw back some speed from your legs. Usual run for all organisation., goodie bags, t-shirt and medal. Fab marshals and good crowd support at the start/finish. The only run for all event I haven't re-entered as I didn't enjoy it at all. Maybe I'll face these hills again one day...
