This was a last minute entry for me and you know what, it was the right decision. The race information was emailed out and to be honest it didn't exactly inspire me with confidence however once i read through it there was enough to get me there prepared. Parking close to the venue was very easy as there are lots of side roads within easy reach with various routes in and out so no congestion before or after. Collecting the race number was an on the day deal and it really was stupidly easy. the venue, being a school was actually excellent as we were well sheltered and warm with reasonably accessible toilets. The start was punctual which is always a good thing and pleasantly relaxed. The course is undulating. Yes, there are hills. its pretty much countryside from start to finish and its a loop - none of this point to point nonsense and going through Clumber park is lovely. However there is a limited support which is tough at times. The finish is a nice gentle slope however you do have to run over metal sheeting which is never fun. The medal is lovely as was the long sleeved top... yes, long sleeved! Overall, a decent race. Would i do it again? Possibly not but it is a fun race,
