← Rockingham 10

A real shame that this is the last year of the Rockingham 10, due to the sale of the circuit, as it's a lovely event. Organised and executed with the usual efficiency of an SBR Events race. the chance to run around the Rockingham motor racing ciecuit wasn't one I wanted to miss. The pre-race route map looked a little confusing, but the marshals knew exactly what was what and it was impossible to get lost - essentially it's one lap for the 5k, two for the 10k and three for the 10 miler, with a little out and back of varying length at the start depending on your route. The course is undulating, but tarmac throughout. It was great to be able to run along the home straight and through the pit lane, areas that you normally only get to see on TV. After the race, you got water, banana and crisps, along with a cracking medal - another usual for SBR Events. Unfortunately there won't be another chance to run Rockingham, but I'm sure they'll come up with another, equally quirky, race to replace it in 2019.
