we parked in the football club car park and went a reasonably well sign posted meander through a park and residential suburb before reaching race HQ, this is where the first negative was encountered. It’s the car park for a large collection of sport pitches, with virtually zero protection from the elements. If it had rained we would have been soaked beforehand, as it was with the wind we were all pretty cold. As mentioned elsewhere, “closed roads” is not 100% accurate, when turning the second corner to see a massive tractor hidden on the bend. A Marshall was trying to alert runners though. As you can see the course is not remotely flat, 2 loops with the 2nd branching off half way up the steep hill. I did think the placing of this water station was not ideal here. And my major moan is that quite a lot of us are having to apply for corrections in times as the chips weren’t detected at the start line. I guess any tech is fallible, but this is the 2nd time it’s happened to me with this company.
