First time taking part in this Half Marathon and it won't be my last. Really enjoyed this race, it was well organised and the crowds were out cheering everyone on. The water stations around the course were well placed with Lucozade drinks and gels also available. The only negative I would say would be the start, 10k and half marathon runners all started together meaning people had to push pass others to get to there estimated finish time start point and with there being around 5,000 runners it was quite congested until the 10k runners went onto their route. The course itself heads off into the country lanes before heading back into Warrington town centre and through Warrington Wolves Stadium and then finishing running on a red carpet through the golden gates. The first half of the route is uphill making the second half easier. The goody bag was good, usual leaflets plus t-shirt, banana, crisps, water and Lucozade drink. I am really impressed with the medal, a depiction of the golden gates with a spinning disc embellished with 13.1. The reverse of the medal has places where you can get your name and time engraved (beware the queues to get the engraving though) Overall a really good run and I would run it again.
