← The Handsworth Park 10k Fun Run
There has been good reports on this race, held within Handsworth Park Birmingham I opted to sign up on the morning, the registration was simple and straight forward, 3 laps of this wonderful park, undulating all on the tarmac paths which is in excellent condition The field was in the main first time or runners starting their running journey, this diverse crowd was plentiful, approx 200, a small contingent of club runners led the way British Heart Foundation was the charity organisers, brilliant and simple proving that you don’t need the razzmatazz of the global brands to be successful This event will grow I am sure, however I doubt at least it will loose its community spirit which was evedent throughout. Well done to the whole team.
