A brand new event from the organisers of Gelt Gladiator... (Obstacle run)

As I have family from Carlisle, and the race finished in the stadium of Carlisle United, (the club I support), I was always going to do this race.

The course started at the stadium and went into the city centre. Then through the Cathedral grounds and in front of the Castle, before going around the Castle into Bitts Park and along the river. The course then goes north out of the city along closed roads and country lanes. The final 2 miles are through Rickerby Park, across the river and a stadium finish at Carlisle United FC. 

Along the route were plenty of water stations with music playing and also a band on he route. The goody bag contained bananas, sweets, chocolate, tech tshirt and a fantastic medal.

For those who like a PB, this could be a good course to chase it. For others, a very scenic route to enjoy.

This is a race that I think will get bigger and better as the years go on - a great first event!
