← Nairn Half Marathon
The Nairn Half Marathon is part of the annual Highland Games. It's great value at just £13 to enter, a great race through lovely Scottish countryside and a unique start/finish running round the Highland Games arena.
The 2018 run had a killer headwind for the final 6 miles but that toughness made finishing feel much more of an achievement.
Pros:
- Unique start and finish in highland games arena.
- Cheap!! (£13 plus can register on day for £15)
- Great small event friendly feel to run.
- Run through stunning Scottish scenery.
- Receive medal and small but adequate goodie bag.
Cons:
- Run open roads - but these are relatively quiet.
- Final 1 mile section lots of pedestrians to dodge.
- Not chip timed.
