← Enigma Week At the Knees

I was there for day four at Furtzon Lakes and day seven at Caldecotte Lake.

For those unfamiliar, Enigma run various themed Marathons in Milton Keynes through the year, this particular series is the 7-Day Week at the knees series. The medals interlink for all 7 days, so if you’re brave enough, it’s a great way to notch up 7 Marathons quickly!

The days are multi-laps of Mk lakes, Furtzon is 17, Caldecotte 7 laps. It’s easy to book the raw online, gives info on times and address, and registration on the day is very easy: we met in the warmth of the pub at both venues, and it’s a very relaxed experience: chat to fellow runners, maybe even a cup of tea! Then, it’s time for business with a description of the course.

All the runners are very supportive of each other, and there’s good support at the feed station too. The laps doesn’t suit everybody, and for my first time doing a lapped marathon I found it fine, they countdown your laps which gives you a focus, and as there’s no roads you can plug your music in.

I must add a huge credit to Enigma, I’d planned for another marathon on the Sunday, which was snowed off, seeking a replacement I Facebook messaged Enigma and got a quick reply to get me in the Sunday. Great guys
