Registration was very easy done online and plenty of emails keeping us up to date with start times etc.

Before the race, some local personal trainers went through a full warm up with everyone and kept it fun, very friendly people.

The race itself was mainly on smooth tarmac, a little bit of gravel and sand too, a nice mixture. It was 2 laps of the racecourse with a small stretch of closed road running outside the grounds. Lots of fantastic marshalls cheering us on all the way around too! 

I ran this race in heavy rain and wind but nothing could spoil it, another brilliant event by RunThrough! The medal is a great and unique one too! 

For those who want to do it next year, if the weather is awful and you want family to come and watch then please note that family are able to watch from the covered stands in the racecourse with a great view of most of the route. 

The only thing I would like to see improvement on is the lack of toilets, there's were portaloos there but as the even was for a 5k, half marathon and and a 10k there was a lot of people there and only a small amount of toilets. Queues were massive! I gave up waiting and ended up finding a nearby bush on the way round! 

All in all though, brilliant day out! Thank you to all the marshalls and organisers, I'll be back next year!
