← Wellingborough 5

After weeks of beautiful sunshine, the rain and wind decided to make an appearance at the race. Refreshing for some, a little cold for others, it was great to finally run in cooler temperatures again.

On arrival there was a short queue for a race number and polo t-shirt, it was then out into the elements for a warm up.

The event takes place on quiet roads on the edge of Wellingborough. It is a fairly flat course and one for the 5 mile PB hunters. I was 7 minutes quicker then the last time I took part in the race in 2014 so was naturally pleased.

The race experience was well organised with car parking, registration and marshalling. Well done to all the volunteers at W&DRC, you were a credit to your club. I hope to be back in the future.
