← Endure24 - Leeds

This was my first endurance race and I was part of an 8 man team.

If I said I have already signed up for next year you should assume this was a truly awesome race.

The race itself starts at 12noon on saturday and finishes 12 noon on sunday. You run 5 mile trail laps and you CANT run with a team mate. Solo runners do compete. the course is roughly 70% in woods but the exposed parts are truly exposed. The course is undulating and watch out for the sheep. Headtorches must be worn from 6pm to 8am and the feed station is perfectly placed at 6k. each lap is 8k (5 miles).

Yes, there are enough toilets, yes the catering is 24 hours and to be honest although expensive is worth it as a bacon sandwhich and hot coffee at 4am is absolutely amazing.

Our team completed 150 miles. The solo winner completed 125!!!!!!

You will rub shoulders with true legends and novice endurance runners (that would be me then).

Everybody camps and everybody was very considerate - apart from the flying beetles. Seriously, what's with the beetles!

The bling and tshirt are lovely and there is additional merchandise available. I bought a cap for £16.

You will need lots of spare kit, you will probably walk a fair distance to and from the change over pen and your tent and chnaces are sleep wont be an option. But you will have the time of your life.

Oh, and your car will look awful as the dusty single track ONLY road in and out of the venue is crazy.

This is the best event ever. Book now to avoid dissapointment.
