Overall this is a great half - or maybe it SHOULD be a great half.

Good numbers, really well organised and a great course - obviously the highlight is going past Hampton Court Palace, but the whole section along the canal towpath is great - and it's as flat as you could possibly want. Also arguably the best goody bag I've had after a race (what more could anyone want than a post race yazoo!)

The downside though is the lack of road closures in the first few miles. Even if just the first mile had closed roads (or a different route) it'd be much safer. It was quite congested and a lot of people ended up running on the road, which felt somewhat unsafe and crowded. Obviously that'd mean the race was a few pounds more, but definitely worth it to make absolutely sure of no accidents.

I'd probably do it again if the road closures were included, but probably not with the status quo.
